SmashingMonday is a mobile app for quick mini-games played by two people on two phones, connected directly to each other over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) — one phone hosts a game and shows a QR code, the other scans it to join. There is no server, no backend, and no internet connection involved in gameplay: your phone talks directly to the other player's phone.
None. SmashingMonday does not have a server, does not use analytics or advertising SDKs, does not create accounts, and does not transmit any data to us or to any third party. There is nothing for us to collect, because there is nowhere for data to go.
The app stores a small amount of data locally on your own phone, using Android's standard app storage. It never leaves the device:
Uninstalling the app deletes this data.
When two phones play together over BLE, they exchange only what's needed to run the game in that moment: player names, game moves, and scores for that session. This travels directly between the two phones over a local Bluetooth connection — it is never routed through the internet or stored by us.
SmashingMonday does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from anyone at all.

Some SmashingMonday mini-games use your phone's motion sensors and ask you to move or swing your phone as part of gameplay.
